Well, my first impressions of this kid where, "WHOA! That thing is huge!" At the first sonogram, I found out that all of my carefully laid plans were all messed up and he was 2 weeks bigger (and thus older) than I knew he should be. Hm, that's interesting. We were using kits to ensure that we had the proper timing. I'd been tracking my period for MONTHS. I KNEW when I got pregnant. Well, maybe not. So technically, I got pregnant during my period. That's interesting. I know that's not possible. It's not a question of what could happen in the human body. Again, it's a question of timing. I have records. Just trust me.
Alas, nature has her way with everything and here we were at the 12 week sonogram with a 15 week baby. He didn't look like a blob or a sea monkey. He looked like a baby. And we KNEW he was a HE. No questions on that one. Ok. That was neat. And seeing him move was super. But still I was lonely because he was still and unknown quantity quietly making my waist line bigger.
And boy did he hit my waist line with a VENGEANCE. I get all kinds of "Are you sure you're not having twins? One could be hiding!" comments. Thanks people! That's ok. The belly is beautiful and perfectly round. And soon I'll pass the point where I look plump and I'll look PREGNANT. It won't be much longer. yay!
