words between signs and speach. I think that's pretty good. His
tendency to put the accent on the second syllable of any two syllable
word is super cute. "DaDEE!" "baBEE!" "poPPEE!" (poppy is his paternal
grandfather.) And when he knows he's not supposed to do something, we
get the "nonononono". It's cute but a little annoying because he says
it while he's trying to do said thing anyway.
But this morning I got something new. He's transitioned from signing
"more" to saying "moe" pretty consistently. He wanted some more food
as I was getting us out of the car to go into the gym. So I told him,
"Just one minute. [the sitter] will give you more food."
And he said, "Moe. Naaaaaoooooowwww!" He wasn't shouting. Just
ennuciating and trying to make sure I understood the word. I'm like,
are you for real? He's getting the concept of immediacy??
Greeeeeaaaaaaattttt. That's just what I need in life. Yeah, it's
progress, and it was damn funny, but I see the greater implications
and a whole new set of tantrums and demands to defuse. Wish me luck!!
